Karthik enters into Shankar's camp

Karthik Raja, one of the proud sons of Maestro Illayaraja, enters in to Shankar's camp to score music for his own production. It is the first time a member from Raja's family is going to score music for a Shankar film. Directed by debutant Thamira, this film is titled as Rettai Suzhi.

It seems like the first alliance of RD Burman, one of the rare music Maestros of Indian Film Music with Nassir Hussain, the great show man of yester years. Though RD was son of legendary SD Burman, he had to wait for a long time to get his right chance. After his debut movie, RD had waited for nearly 10 long years to get his first break in Theesri Manzil. After that film, his career travelled like a bullet form the pistol up to Sagar.

Though Illayaraja is the undisputed music emperor of our times, his elder son Karthik is still struggling to get his right chance to show his talents. His musical work in Ullasam is still remain green in music lovers mind. But he almost deserted for years without suitable project. Instead of Karthik, his younger brother Yuvan Shankar Raja has become numero uno in Tamil Film Music and rules the industry now.

Known for encouraging right talents and give them an opportunity to excel, Nassir Hussain of Tamil Cinema, Director Shankar has assigned Karthik Raja for Rettai Suzhi.

Hope Karthik would get his right break in Rettai Suzhi.
