Marupadiyum Oru Kaadal: A Tamil-Sinhala love story

After a long gap a Tamil film is being made on the love affair between a Tamil boy and a Sinhalese girl. Titled as Marupadiyum Oru Kaadal, the film narrates a story of love that transcends political frontiers.

According to the script a Tamil boy falls in love with a Sri Lankan girl and faces difficulties just because of their ethnicity. Directed by debutante Vasu Bhaskar, the film is jointly produced by Connect film media and Bollywood Cine Productions ltd.

Anirudh a Malayalam actor known as Shaji Kurup is to make his debut in Tamil through this film. The heroine of the film would be Josna, another debutante. Josna is the daughter of actress Saroja, who had made her entry in Tamil films in the 1980's.

Marupadiyum Oru Kaadal, which features script by the director himself, cinematography by Kannan and music by Sreekanth Deva, would be shot in Chennai, Pondicherry and also in some European countries.
