The
audio
of
Vannathupoochi,
a
film
for
Children
directed
by
Raasi
Azhagappan
has
been
jointly
released
by
veteran
filmmakers
Mahendiran
and
Balu
Mahendra
yesterday
at
Film
Chamber
Theater,
Chennai.
The
first
CD
of
the
audio
was
received
by
Ameer.
After
releasing
the
audio,
Balu
Mahendra
said,
"Every
filmmaker
has
a
social
commitment
and
they
should
fulfill
it
at
least
once
in
their
life
time.
Every
director
should
make
a
movie
on
children
to
make
their
world
more
colourful."
Speaking
on
the
occasion,
director
Ameer
said
that
corporate
companies
should
encourage
and
promote
even
small
and
medium
budget
movies
and
experimental
like
Vannathupoochi.
He
urged
producers
like
Pyramid
Saimira,
who
are
evincing
keen
interest
in
distribution
of
Tamil
films,
should
come
forward
and
helps
these
experimental
efforts.
Vannathupoochi,
directed
by
Raasi
Azhagappan,
centers
around
the
emotions
shared
between
a
young
girl
and
her
grandfather.
Bala
Singh
plays
the
grandfather
while
Sri
Lakshmi
is
cast
as
grand-daughter.
Revathy
plays
a
prominent
role
in
the
film
after
a
long
time.
The
film
is
scheduled
to
release
in
the
second
week
of
August.
