Now Namitha hikes her payment

Now it is Namitha's turn to hike her fee for her on screen appearance. The 'Glamour Queen' of Tamil Cinema has reportedly hiked her rate from Rs. 40 lakhs to Rs.75 lakhs. Her call sheet diary is full for the next two years and she is currently working in nearly 8 projects including the latest one Kartheegai. She has replaced Malavika in this project and accepted the role for a whopping Rs.75 lakhs.

Namitha is the central character in Jagan Mohini, a remake of a yesteryear Tamil-Telugu blockbuster with the same name, under NK Viswanathan's direction. She has also been acting opposite Sundar C in Perumal. She is the main heroine in Indira Vizha, which also stars Srikanth and Ragasiya and newcomer Hema Malini.

Indira Vizha, which is supposed to be a comeback movie for actor Srikanth, has already been labeled as a 'Namitha special'. The producers and distributors trust that Namitha's glamour makes their film as a minimum guaranteed product and particularly in C centers it becomes as hot cakes.

The actress also hiked her off screen fee (don't go for some mischievous imagination!!) i.e., her fee to attend private functions such as textile showroom inauguration or massage oil introduction etc, from 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs!

Whether the actress knows the meaning for all the Tamil words pronounced by her, but surely she knows the meaning for this particular proverb in Tamil 'Make hey while the sun shines'!!
