Nayantara hikes fee; would not budge

Once again top actress Nayantara's name has made it to the gossip columns. As usual, this time also it is for wrong reasons.

According to the reports she is adamant in getting her salary Rs.1 crore 10 lakhs as agreed by the producer cum director of her next film.

The actress had hiked her fee after her successful films Billa, Yaradi Nee Mohini and has started demanding more than Rs. 1 crore for all her forthcoming films Ajith's Aegan and Vijay's Villu.

Director Lingusamy is currently producing and directing a movie with Paruthi Veeran hero Karthi in the lead role and Nayantara was roped in to feature opposite him. According to Lingusamy's side, the production team of Lingusamy had agreed to pay the actress Rs.1.10 crores whilst her demand was Rs.1.25 crores. The reports also add that a lump sum was paid as advance.

After the poor results of her latest films Kuselan and Sathyam, the producer reportedly wanted Nayantara to reduce her pay. But the actress was quite adamant and replied that if the team would not give what they had fixed she would withdraw from the project. But she strictly told that the advance (Rs.25 lakhs!) would not be returned under any condition.
