Rajini, Kamal to attend fast on a condition

The South Indian Film Artist The South Indian Film Artist Association is getting ready to show their solidarity towards the suffering Tamilians in Srilanka on saturday. The hunger strike by Tamil film industry artists will be held as planned on the 1st of November inside the Nadigar Sangam campus. According to the Nadigar Sangam President Sarath Kumar, the hunger strike will go on as per the plans and even the Union Government has assured to look in to matter seriously.

The latest reports suggest that all the leading stars will attend the event without fail. Superstar Rajinikanth has also ensured his presence in the fast on a condition. He told the organizers that he would attend the fast only if the attendees avoid any kind of controversial speeches on Srilankan issue.

It may be recalled that the speeches delivered by actor Sathyaraj in the Hogenakkal fast, a few months back had affected his big movie Kuselan. Also emotional speeches marked the rally at Rameswaram organized by the film fraternity on October 19 and eventually lead to the arrest of directors Seeman and Ameer.

Kamal Hassan, another leading star of the Industry also strongly supported Rajini's stand in this issue. Other leading starts Ajith, Vijay and Surya also requested the organizers not to compel them to speak on the dias. Meanwhile, a grand dais has been erected at the Nadigar Sangam for the fast which would be staged between 8 am and 4 pm.
