Rajinikanth's unfulfilled wish

Superstar Rajinikanth praised veteran actress B. Saroja Devi for her acting skills .

Rajini was attending the annual day celebrations of Ashram School in Chennai on Tuesday. He honoured the veteran actress with the Ashram award at the function.

The annual day celebrations of the Ashram, run by Latha Rajinikanth, was celebrated in a grand manner in which various cultural events were organized.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajinikanth said, "It was my unfulfilled desire to act with the beauty of all seasons, Saroja Devi in my early days. I admire Saroja Devi a lot. Had I have been an actor in her era, I wonder whether I would have got an opportunity to act with her at that time, when she was busy doing movies with veterans like MGR and Sivaji... She is a wonderful actress with rare skills..."

Actresses S.N Lakshmi and producer-director Muktha Srinivasan were among the others honoured in the event.

Among those who attended the event included veteran director S P Muthuraman, alumni of the Ashram School including Soundarya Rajinikanth, actor Nakul and Simbu.
