All
the
trade
bodies
of
South
Indian
Film
Industry
including
the
powerfull
FEFSI
have
accepted
to
remove
the
one
year
ban
on
Director
Saami
with
a
pre
dated
resolution
from
30th
April.
Saami,
known
for
his
work
in
controversial
Uyir
and
the
recently
released
Mirugam
was
banned
for
a
year
for
slapping
actress
Padmapriya
in
the
sets
of
Mirugam
last
year.
The
ban
was
imposed
on
him
last
October.
But
after
the
release
of
Mirugam,
Saami
got
an
offer
to
direct
a
film
with
Rajkiran
in
the
lead.
He
appealed
to
the
president
of
Tamil
Film
Producer
Council
to
reconsider
the
year
long
ban
on
him,
which
prevents
him
to
give
a
good
cinema
in
right
time.
Considering
his
request,
Rama
Narayanan
convened
an
urgent
meeting
to
discuss
issue
yesterday.
Representatives
from
all
the
trade
bodies
attended
the
meeting
and
within
few
minutes
they
approved
unanimously
to
revoke
the
ban
on
the
director.
This
order
would
be
implemented
from
30th
April,
i.e.,
a
week
earlier
to
the
meeting
held.
Expressing
happiness
at
the
ban
being
revoked,
Saami
said,
"hereafter,
I
will
show
my
ability
through
my
films
and
my
movies
will
talk
for
me."
