Director V Gowthaman of Sandhanakkadu fame is going to make a film on famous novel 'Thalaimuraigal' written by veteran Tamil author Neela Padmanaaban. Gowthaman has already directed a film Kanave Kalayadhey with Surya, under the banner of Sivasakthi Pandian, a decade ago. He has successfully completed the TV serial on Veerappan, Sandhanakkadu that was telecasted in Makkal TV.

After this serial, he is preferred to direct two films in a row instead of directing any more serials.

Gowthaman Says, "Many offers come to me in small screen industry to direct serials like Sandhanakkadu. But my aim is not to earn money. I never try to en cash real life heroes' history in the media. I wished to convey the hidden facts in the case of Veerappan through Sandhanakkadu. I hope that I have succeeded in that effort. Now I shifted my focus on Cinema. I would like to produce some good movies for our next generation."

Thalaimuraigal is considered as one of the 10 best novels in the modern history of Tamil novel literature. The cast and crew and other details of the film would be announced soon.
