Vijay:"No to his pictures !"

After the poor response to Kuruvi, Vijay is keeping an extremely low profile these days. He did not even turn up for the audio launch of his father S.A Chandrasekhar's Panthayam, in which he has given a special appearance.

Vijay appears as Vijay while Nithin is his crazy fan who comes to his shooting spot and gets entangled in a problem.

In the film within the film Vijay is shown acting in a film titled MGR. Director Perarasu appears as the director of MGR in this film. This scene is said to be one of the major attractions in the film. Some scenes of Vijay getting mobbed by his fans have also been shot (similar to that of Rajini's in Kuselan).

However Vijay has instructed the producer of Panthayam, Hitesh Jhabak, not to release any of his photos involved in the film.

According to Vijay, he does not want to hype and create huge expectations about the film among his fans. The distributors have also been told not to sell the film to theatres saying it is a Vijay film.
