become
director
with
a
film
that

said
to
have
many
political
twists
and
punch
lines
exclusively
for
his
fans
cum
party
cadres.
To
be
titled
Vridhagiri
after
the
presiding
deity
in
a
temple
located
in
Vriddhachalam
town,
Tamil
Nadu
the
movie
will
have
the
star
act
as
well,
according
to
sources
close
to
the
actor.
Vijaykanth
was
elected
legislator
from
Vriddhachalam
constituency
in
2006
in
his
debut
contest.
The
PRO
of
the
film
Singaravelu
says
that
the
star
would
play
an
honest
cop
in
his
directorial
debut
and
would
mouth
dialogues
full
of
political
innuendos.
Vijaykanth
hopes
to
negate
these
through
the
new
film,
his
publicists
said.
However,
the
lead
lady
and
cast
for
other
key
roles
are
yet
to
be
finalised.
A.
Venkatesh,
the
director
known
for
his
commercial
success
will
assisting
Vijaykanth
in
directing
the
film.
