Dev Patel in the Hindi remake of Nadodigal?

Slumdog Millionaire star and British-Indian actor Dev Patel is slated to act in the Hindi remake of the recent Tamil mega-hit Nadodigal, directed by Samuthirakani. Addressing reporters in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, Samuthirakani said that talks with Dev are underway.

"We are hopeful of signing him up for the lead role in the yet-to-be named Hindi remake of Nadodigal. The Telugu remake will go on the floors next month with Ravi Teja in the lead and we will start shooting the Kannada remake in December with Puneet in the lead," said Samuthirakani, who will direct all the three versions.

The film revolves around three close friends (Sasikumar), Chandru (Vijay) and Pandi (Bharani), who are willing to kill and even get killed for their friendship. The true test of their friendship comes when Karuna's friend Saravanan seeks their help to marry Prabha (Shanthitheva), the girl he loves. Moved by his emotions, Karuna, Chandru and Pandi decide to unite the lovers and get into serious trouble. What happens next, forms the rest of the film.
