Ilayaraja rocks again in Jaganmohini!

Ilayaraja has once again proved his power through the fantastic music in Jaganmohini. The audio which got released last week has become a sensational hit in both Telugu and Tamil.

Jaganmohini is a mythological film that made waves when it was first made in Telugu and later dubbed in Tamil nearly 30 years ago. The film featuring Jayamalini and Narasimha Raju was directed by Vittalacharya. Jaganmohini with its special effects scared many and was way ahead of times. It is said that this film was more successful than the films of NTR and ANR at that time.

Now in 2009, cinematographer-turned-director N K Viswanathan has remade this movie with sex bomb Namitha and Telugu actor Raja in the lead. Music maestro Ilayaraja has scored the music.

The audio was released last week by Union Minister M K Azhagiri and the songs have become sensational hits both in Tamil and Telugu. Particularly the Amman Song sung by Chitra in LR Eeswari style is already at the top position. Other songs have also become hits and have proved that the maestro is an ageless magician in Music!

Recently Ilayaraja's Azhagar Malai songs, especially 'Karugamani...' have also become super hit in Tamil.
