Interestingly she is the female lead in its Tamil remake too. May be she is new to Kannada filmdom, but Kamalini had spent her school days at Bangaloru only.
"Yes... I did my schooling in Bangalore and has been waiting for the right opportunity to enter the Kannada film industry. It couldn"t have been better than Savari," says Kamalini.
How does she feel about being featured in all the three versions, including Kadhalna Summa Illai in Tamil? "I"m glad the filmmakers have considered me for each version," she says with smile.
What prompted Kamalini to play the same role a third time?
"All credit goes to the director, Jacob Varghese, who has redone the film like a fresh one. The Tamil version was a sincere remake of the original but I feel the difference in this Kannada version..." she explains.
Kamalini Mukherjee is now entering Sandalwood, the Kannada film industry through Savari, the remake of the Telugu blockbuster Gamyam.
