According to Murugadass, when booking for the movie opened at a theatre in the UK on Wednesday, the film became the first to gross Rs 200 crores at the worldwide box office. It has grossed Rs 162 crores in the domestic market and Rs 39 crores from the overseas market by Thursday.
ghajini's producer Allu Arvind remarks, "I don't know the exact figure as of date. But the news coming from around the globe is very enthusiastic and the real credit goes to Murugadass and our hero Aamir Khan."
Murugadass is now the most wanted director in the country. Superstars from Tamil, Telugu and Bollywood have invited him for their next film's discussion.
