Lissy Priyadharshan, former actress and wife of ace filmmaker Priyadarshan, met the press to brief her crucial victory in the Supreme Court against the case filed by GV Films Ltd.

Director Priyadarshan and his wife Lissy Priyadarshan purchased Good Luck preview theatre (Now it is Four Frames Theatre) a few years back, but then there were lot of problems as a case was filed against them by M/s GV Films pertaining to the ownership of the property.

Finally, the Supreme Court ruled in favour of the Priyadarshan and Lissy, who have now been given complete ownership of the Theatre. Lissy Priyadarshan held a press meet recently to brief the case and how she overcome all the hurdles created by Sujatha Films Ltd and its related company and GV Films Ltd.

Lissy said: "I'm speechless now because I had suffered a lot in these four years by flying from Chennai to Delhi for attending the court on the baseless case sued by GV films. In fact, I learned a lot and became familiar with rules, notice and laws of possession of property. I paid my own money, Rs.19 crores to the Income Tax department to purchase this property (Preview Theater) in a public auction.

“But after I got the ownership rights legally, the erstwhile owners were not ready to handover the property to me. They moved the court. The Chennai high court dismissed the case and passed the verdict in favour of us. But GV films appealed in the supreme court, even after knowing well about the case and its status of the legal possession.

“Just because of their greedy, jealous and adamant feelings, they fought with us. But God and law have done justice to me. Now the supreme court dismissed the case in its very preliminary stage."
