Pyramid
Saimira,
one
of
the
popular
corporate
film
producers
in
Kollywood
has
sent
a
legal
notice
to
Kamal
Hassan
and
asked
him
to
return
the
advance
amount
Rs.10.90
crores
that
was
given
for
Marmayogi.
Few
months
ago,
both
Kamal
and
Saimira
had
entered
an
agreement
to
produce
Marmayogi
as
a
joint
venture
with
the
investment
of
Rs.100
crores.
Saimira
paid
a
whopping
Rs.
10.90
crores
to
Kamal
as
advance.
But
due
to
some
financial
crisis,
the
company
has
postponed
the
venture,
but
not
dropped
it.
Meanwhile
Kamal
has
started
his
new
film
Unnaipol
Oruvan
under
his
own
banner,
Rajkamal
International.
Now
he
is
busy
in
releasing
the
film
on
September
18th
worldwide.
At
this
juncture,
Pyramid
Saimira,
the
company
under
reconciliation
process
after
continuous
losses
in
film
production,
has
sent
a
legal
notice
to
Kamal
Hassan
to
return
the
advance
amount
immediately
after
receiving
the
notice.
In
that
notice
Advocate
Chidambaram
says
on
behalf
of
Saimira,
"Since
you
have
no
intention
of
starting
the
project
Marmayogi,
there
is
no
point
in
keeping
the
advance
money
Rs.10.90
cr
with
you.
So
please
return
the
amount
immediately
and
avoid
the
court
procedures...".
