Stylish audio launch of UPO

It is one of the most memorable and stylish audio launch in Kollywood in recent times. Yes... it is none other than the with sharp and quick audio launch of Kalaignani Kamal Hassan's Unnaipol Oruvan that was held on Sunday morning. The entire event was just over within 45 minutes without the usual boring speeches or praises on Kamal. Kamal"s mentor K.Balachandar, Kamal's first producer AVM Saravanan, legendary music director MS Viswanathan were the chief guests at this event.

Gouthami hosted the function and blessed Shruthi, the debutant music director of UPO, and said, "Sruthi Hassan is the new face of Indian music and she is very talented. She is the real heir of world class creator Kamal Hassan. Her dedication, determination and sincerity to her work are great..."

The theatrical trailer of the film and a music video for television and internet promotions were played for the select invitees. After that, Kamal escorted KB to the stage and fell on his feet and got his blessings, which was largely appreciated by the huge crowd.

Akshara Hassan welcomed the legendary director with a bouquet of flowers, while Subbulakshmi (Gauthami"s daughter) did the same to AVM Saravanan. MS Viswanathan who also came on the stage, put a shawl around Sruthi and blessed her. The audio was jointly released by KB and AVM Saravanan.

In his short speech, Balachander commented, "Two generations are meeting. Sruthi is going to be the new sensation in Indian cinema and will definitely crosses the boundaries..." AVM Saravanan said, "Kamal is the legendary actor, who has taken the Tamil cinema to the level of world cinema".

Kamal said in his speech, "I"m glad all my gurus have come to bless my daughter. MSV in spite of not keeping in good health has come for the function just because of the affection he has for me. Act ually I had planned to bring Ilayaraja and A R Rahman on the same stage. But the short time has not allowed me for that. Definitely we will join together in another stage soon. Here I would like to say one thing... I'm going to direct my next movie and guess who will be the hero...? it is none other than KB sir!"

Sruthi thanking everybody said, "I have been always dreaming of this day. I feel as an artiste it is an important day and to work with Kamal Hassan is a blessing. Gauthami is my biggest supporter, her words mean a lot to me." Among the other guests were KS Ravikumar, Devi Sri Prasad, Swaroop Reddy of Think Music and a few others. Kamal also met the press members later and thanked them for the support.
