Vijay goes through arduous acid test

By Super Admin

Leading actor Vijay started his next project Vettaikkaran (The Hunter) in Rajamundri, Andhra Pradesh on 9th March. For Vijay, surely it is an acid test.

His previous three films in a row, Azhagiya Thamizh Magan, Kuruvi and Villu did not fulfil the expectations of even his die hard fans. The box office collections of these films were also not smart enough. So Vijay is in a compulsion to retain his position as one of the box office Kings in Tamil cinema.

With M. Balasubramaniam and P. Gurunath Meiyappan producing it under the banner of AVM Productions, Anushka is making her comeback in Kollywood by playing the female lead. Saleem Ghosh is donning the baddie role after a long gap while Sri Hari, Sayaji Shinde and Sathyan are also in the cast.

P. Babu Sivan, once an associate of Director Dharani is making his directorial debut through this film. Gopinath cranks the camera.

Vijay Antony, who had got his first break through Vijay's Sukran is to set the tunes for Vijay this time. Kanal Kannan is in charge of the stunning stunts.

The first shooting schedule commenced on March 9 where a grand title song featuring Vijay and 100 junior artists was extensively filmed at Rajamundri.

3 of the 6 songs would be filmed at the breath taking locations of New Zealand after the completion of the first schedule.
