Vijay's major political plans

Vijay, one of the leading heroes in Tamil now, is planning seriously to enter Tamil Nadu politics. Vijay who had launched his Vijay Makkal Iyakkam on his birthday in Chennai, later held a meet in Pudukottai. In that meet he announced his political entry and his interest in protest for public cause.

On Sunday, Vinayaka Chathurthi day (August 23), Vijay and his movement with the support of ruling Congress party in Puducherry (Pondycherry), held a huge public meeting, which was attended by Puducherry Chief Minister V.Vaidyalingam.

The meeting was organized by Vijay"s Pudhucherry fan club president and Puducherry Munetra Congress MLA, N.Anand. Nearly 50,000 people assembled at the Anna Thidal to see their favourite star. Vijay inuagurated computer training centers for the poor and needy students. He also distributed cycles to them.

In his speech, Vijay urged the youth to take up social work and help the poor. When people asked Vijay about his political entry, he replied, “I will never say that I have no desire for politics, but it is like a big ocean. I feel that one has to go step by step and study the issue before plunging into it."
