Thousands of his fans including women, children and relatives from his home town Madurai gathered to meet him and share their happiness with the leading comedian.
After seeing the fanfare, Vivek happily spoke to the media that awards and public appreciation are a recognition for an artist like him.
“I have touched on various issues like environmental pollution, global warming, dowry harassment, female infanticide, unemployment, conservation of energy etc, in my comedy tracks. In future, I will give more righteous things in my comedy tracks. I hope people will encourage this. Encouragement is an important aspect which makes me deliver good comedies" he said.
He dedicated the award to his parents, mentor and guru director K.Balachandar and all his fans who have made him famous.
Chinna Kalaivaanar Vivek, who was returned from Delhi after receiving the award at the hands of President, got a thunderous reception from his fans and public in front of his office located at Virugambakkam.
