Gautham
Menon
has
recently
completed
the
first
schedule
of
Nadunisi
Naigal,
a
psychological
thriller
and
will
soon
kick-start
the
second
schedule
of
Hindi
remake
of
his
very
own
Vinnaithaandi
Varuvaaya(VTV),
which
features
Prateek
Babbar
and
Trisha
in
lead
roles.
The
filmmaker"s
closer
associates
have
said
that
Gautham's
other
project
Thuppariyum
Anand
will
hit
the
floors
by
March
2011,
soon
after
the
release
of
Hindi
VTV.
A.R.
Rahman
will
be
scoring
music
for
this
film
and
Manoj
Paramahamsa
handles
cinematography
with
Anthony
on
editing.
According
to
the
sources,
Thuppariyum
Anand
is
based
on
Tamil
novel
Thuppariyum
Sambu
that
was
written
by
Devan
in
the
early
20th
century.
Set
in
backdrops
of
1930s,
the
book
centers
on
Devan,
an
ordinary
clerk,
who
solves
crime
on
fluke.
The
movie
was
supposed
to
feature
Ajith
Kumar
in
lead
role.
But
the
duo
parted
ways
due
to
creative
difference
and
Surya
is
reported
have
replaced
Ajith.
Apart
from
his
own
directorial,
the
filmmaker
is
busy
producing
couple
of
films
–
Veppam
and
Azhagarsamiyin
Kudhirai.
Veppam
is
directed
by
newcomer
Manju,
once
an
associate
of
director
Gautham
Menon
while
Susindran
handles
direction
for
Azhagarsamiyin
Kudhirai.
