No 'Palabhishekam' for superstars says Bharathiraja

Ace film director Bharathiraja appealed students not to perform 'Palabhishekams' (pouring milk) on heroes cut outs and other kind of hero worshiping.

Attending a college function at his native town Madurai, the veteran says, "Dont"t worship our so called larger-than-life movie stars by doing 'Palabhishekam' or 'Camper Arathis' before the cut-outs and hoardings of their new films, whenever it is released." Bharathiraja advised the students to have a practical outlook when they watch a film and not get carried away by the 'so called Superstars'.

“By all means, go and watch movies in theater and enjoy as Cinema is a good form of entertainment, but no star worship please. I was not educated, but I could still make films by observing the environment around me art will help to locate the unique talent of every person," he added.
