Prakash Raj in Ajay Devgn's film

Versatile actor Prakash Raj, who played the role of Mayil Vaaganam in blockbuster Singam, will be portraying the same role in Hindi version of the film. It features actor Ajay Devgn in the lead role.

The movie is directed by Rohit Shetty of Gomaal triology fame. According to sources, the director, who saw Prakash's performance in the Tamil version, was impressed and decided to cast him. The actor had earlier acted in a few Hindi movies like Shakti, Wanted etc.

Prakash Raj also confirmed the news and Twitted, “Yes it's official. Ajay Devgn, Prakash raj in Hindi remake of Singam, directed by Rohith shetty, produced by reliance big pictures."

Surya and Anushka Shetty starrer Singam was originally written and directed by Hari. It was also dubbed in Telugu as Yamudu.
