Vikram
Kumar"s
debut
directorial
Alai
starring
Simbu
and
Trisha
in
lead
roles
didn"t
yield
him
favorable
results.
Nearly
after
5
year
of
long
sabbatical
gap,
director
Vikram
Kumar
earned
his
reputation
with
the
grand
success
of
his
bilingual
movie
Yaavarum
Nalam
(Hindi
version
titled
13B).
He
got
himself
leaping
with
best
laurels
as
Hollywood"s
leading
production
company
Weinstein
Pictures
acquired
international
remake
rights
of
this
supernatural
thriller.
Sooner,
the
filmmaker
was
signed
by
producer
Mohan
Natarajan
to
wield
megaphone
for
Vikram"s
24,
which
was
a
sci-fi
thriller.
On
the
spur
of
moment,
the
project
was
dropped
due
to
creative
difference
of
opinions
between
them.
Now,
the
director
has
been
signed
to
direct
Vijay"s
53rd
film,
which
is
reportedly
produced
by
A.M.
Rathnam
of
Sri
Surya
Movies.
The
filmmaker
is
busy
now
working
on
script
along
with
his
associates
and
will
complete
them
by
next
couple
of
months.
If
everything
goes
well
between
Vikram
and
Vijay,
the
film
will
go
on
floors
by
end
of
December
as
Vijay
is
busy
now
shooting
for
Kaavalan
and
will
shortly
commence
his
other
film
Velayudham.
