Andrea Jeremiah lands in controversy

By Ramchander

Singer-turned-actress Andrea Jeremiah landed in controversy after she opted for a Mumbai-based make-up artist, which is against the rules of Tamil film industry, for upcoming film Oru Kal Oru Kannadi. She had a tiff with the Technician's Union, who opposed her stand to bring in a person from outside the state.

The Aayarathil Oruvan actress reportedly demanded the makers of the film that she wants a specialist from Mumbai. Bowing down to her demands, they roped in a famous make-up man from Mumbai but the Technician's Union objected it and halted the shooting of the film yesterday at ECR Resorts, Chennai. It took four hours to settle down the matter before Udhayanidhi Stalin, who was on holidays in Colombo, intervened to resolve issue.

Fearing the wrath of the Kollywood Technician's Union, the actress changed her mind to send him back to Mumbai, claims a report. According to the rules of the Tamil film industry, a technician should get the Union's ID card to work in the Tamil film industry. The rule is made to protect the interest of the local-born talents.
