Anushka Shetty to star in Dabangg Tamil version

South Indian most sought after actress Anushka Shetty has bagged yet another Tamil project to her kitty. The actress has reportedly given the nod to act in the Tamil version of Dabangg.

Reports say that the makers of Dabangg remake had initial thought of roping in Bollywood actress for the female lead role in the film. They also considered a few Bollywood actresses. But now sources say that they have changed their mind and have zeroed in on Anushka Shetty for the leading lady in the film.

Silambarasan will star in the Tamil version of Dabangg. He will be seen in the role of a cop. Mohan Apparao and T Ramesh have acquired the remake rights of the film. Other details about the film are under wraps.
