First it was named Deiva Magan, later it was called Pitha, then it was changed to Deiva Thirumagan and now rechristened again as Deiva Thiumagal. Yes, Vikram and AL Vijay's upcoming Tamil movie's title has been changed again after a a caste group raised an objection over the title.
Recently, the Thevar community urged the makers of the film to change the title claiming that it is the name of their late leader Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar. They added that it is an insult to their leader. Bowing down to their demand, the makers of the film have changed the title as Deiva Thiumagal.
Makers of Deiva Thiumagal reportedly decided to change, as they wish to release the movie without any controversy. Vikram, Anushka Shetty and Amala Paul starrer movie will hit the screens on May 13.
