Romesh
Babu,
who
has
produced
Vijay's
blockbuster
hit
movie
Kaavalan,
has
reportedly
filed
a
case
against
producer
Shakthi
Chidambaram
at
a
police
station.
In
his
complaint,
the
producer
has
stated
that
Shakthi
has
threatened
to
kill
him
if
he
does
not
forego
2.75
crores,
a
due
from
a
private
TV
channel.
In
his
complaint,
producer
Romesh
Babu
states
that
he
had
sold
the
satellite
rights
of
Kaavalan
to
a
private
television
channel
for
5.5
crores.
The
TV
channel
has
already
paid
2.75
crores
to
him.
But
despite
repeated
requests,
the
channel
has
refused
to
clear
the
remaining
amount.
Recently,
Shakthi
Chidambaram
intervened
in
the
financial
issue
between
Romesh
Babu
and
the
TV
channel.
He
asked
Romesh
to
give
a
written
statement
that
he
is
willing
to
forego
2.75
crores.
Meanwhile,
he
also
threatened
him
of
dire
consequences
if
he
does
not
forego
the
balance
money.
