Karikalan Vikram ropes in Rakta Charitra girl

Vikram's mega-budget film Karikalan has finally completed its initial casting process by signing another actress for the third female lead. After Zarine Khan and Mithra Kurian, Rakta Charitra girl Radhika Apte has been roped in to play a key role in the upcoming Tamil film.

Radhika Apte has recently signed Karikalan to pair up the actor in forthcoming movie. She will be seen as one of the wives of Vikram. But the name of the role, which she is doing, has not been revealed yet.

Vikram's Karikalan will have rich graphics and has visual effects background. The first schedule of the shooting has been completed in Talakona forest, Andhra Pradesh. It is directed by Kannan and jointly produced by SS Vasan and S Parthi. The film has Vijay Anthony's music and N Karthik's cinematography.

Vikram will be seen in the historical role of Karikalan Chola, one of the popular Tamil kings of early Chola during the Sangam period. Bollywood actress Zarine Khan is enacting the character of Velir girl.
