Superstar Rajinikanth, Surya and his brother Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Ajith Kumar, Vijay, Aarya, Vishal Krishna, Prakash Raj, Samantha and many other actors utilised their right to vote.
As usual, Rajinikanth was followed by shutterbugs, which almost created a controversy. A few photographers snapped him, while he was voting and claimed that he voted for AIADMK candidate. Soon, the clipping was played on several TV channels, before getting a warning from the Election Commission to stop the airing, as it violates the election code of conduct.
Later, Rajini cleared that he was told to keep his hand on the voting machine by some journalists and then clicked it, when his hand was accidentally on the two-leaf symbol button.
Kollywood stars have always tried to set an example to the society. Especially, when it comes to elections, they encourage people to participate in the formal decision-making. Yesterday, it was proved again, as many top actors cast their votes and urged the people to do the same.
