Ladies vs Ricky Bahl a carbon copy of Naan Avanillai

By Ramchander

Director Selva has accused the makers of recently released Bollywood movie Ladies vs Ricky Bahl of lifting the Tamil story without taking rights nor giving credits to the original makers. The filmmaker has claimed that the Hindi film is a carbon copy of his Naan Avanillai series.

According to the director, the 80% of Ladies vs Ricky Bahl story resembles Naan Avanillai 1 and 2, which are remakes of yesteryear classics of the same name directed by K Balachander. While the Tamil version had five female leads, the Hindi version features four actresses. The story is about a conman, who swindles three girls for money and their revenge against him.

He further claims that he is shocked by this development, as Ladies vs Ricky Bahl is made on the prestigious banner, Yash Raj Films. Now, he is gearing up for a legal battle against the movie bosses for their unethical work.

Ladies vs Ricky Bahl stars Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Dipannita Sharma, Parineeti Chopra, Aditi Sharma and others. It is directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra.
