Mani Ratnam ropes in Malayalam actor Lal for Pookadai

The casting process for the forthcoming movie of Mani Ratnam is on full swing. After signing, Arjun Sarja and Lakshmi Manchu, the filmmaker has now approached Malayalam actor Lal for one of the important roles in the film, which is tentatively titled Pookadai.

Talking about the offer, Lal has confirmed the news but clarifies that he has not signed the project. The actor says that the filmmaker asked him the dates during November-December and he has already allotted those dates for another project.

However, as the shooting of Mani Ratnam's Pookadai has been delayed there are chances of Lal reconsidering the project. He concludes that he is likely to act in the forthcoming Tamil movie.

Pookadai will be the launchpad of veteran actor Karthik's son Gautham.
