By Ramchander

Nayantara, who embraced the Hinduism by getting converted from the Christianity, performed Thulabaram at Chettikulangara Sree Bhagavathi temple, Alappuzha district, Kerala. She offered jaggery to the presiding deity earlier today.

Sources say that Nayantara reached Sree Bhagavathi temple with her friend named Latha at 10 AM and took part in Chandattam, a main offering for the deity, which is a special religious practice of the season. Later, she performed Thulabaram, the ritual conducted by devotees by weighing against their offerings and gifting the same to the temple.

Nayantara reportedly offered 50 kilos of jaggery to the temple. The actress also gave donation for Erezhukara's tower project and organized 'Annadanam' for devotees at the abode of goddess Bhagavathi.

It may be recalled that Nayantara had offered Thulabaram, which was weighed against plantains, at the same temple in 2009.
