Rajinikanth's
Rana
has
been
gaining
more
attention
for
its
female
cast.
Many
Bollywood
actresses'
names
have
been
doing
rounds
for
the
female
leads
in
the
film.
Now,
the
latest
buzz
is
that
it
will
feature
seven
ladies,
out
of
which
three
of
them
will
romance
the
superstar
in
the
film.
KS
Ravikumar
has
reportedly
said
that
the
movie
will
have
seven
leading
in
the
film.
But
only
three
actresses
will
play
opposite
Rajinikanth
in
the
film,
says
the
director.
As
of
now,
Deepika
Padukone
is
the
only
actress,
who
has
given
her
consent
to
act
in
the
film
and
the
makers
of
the
film
are
yet
to
finalize
the
actresses
for
the
remaining
cast,
says
a
source.
Earlier,
after
finalizing
Deepika
Padukone,
the
makers
of
the
film
approached
Madhuri
Dixit
to
play
the
role
of
Rajinikanth's
sister
in
the
film.
But
the
actress
turned
down
the
offer,
as
she
was
not
keen
to
do
miniscule
role.
Later,
it
was
reported
that
the
same
role
was
offered
to
Rekha
but
she
also
refused
due
to
some
monetary
issues
with
the
film's
producers.
Meanwhile,
Vidya
Balan,
Ileana
D'Cruz
and
Hema
Malini's
names
are
doing
for
the
leading
roles
in
the
film.
However,
Rana
is
directed
by
KS
Ravikumar.
The
historical
movie
is
jointly
produced
by
Soundarya
Rajinikanth
and
Eros
International.
Oscar
Award
winner
AR
Rahman
will
score
the
music
for
the
film
and
Rathnavelu
will
handle
the
camera.
