Rajinikanth's story for Rana

Superstar Rajinikanth, who is learning sword skills in Kerala, is said to be the story writer of his upcoming film Rana. It is believed that the actor penned the story a year ago and later approached KS Ravikumar to direct the film.

Sources say that KS Ravikumar was impressed by the storyline written by Rajinikanth and accepted the offer without second thought. It also added that the director suggested some changes in the script and agreed to pen the script. Now, they have roped in S Ramakrishnan to pen the dialogues of the film.

Earlier, Rajinikanth had written story for romantic comedy film Vaali. Rana will be his second movie as a story writer. However, The movie features Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan and Rekha in the key roles. Soundarya Rajinikanth is jointly producing the movie with Eros International.
