It is well-known that Ajith Kumar and AM Rathnam, who were supposed to work before, shelve the project after their fallout over their differed stand on a particular issue of the Tamil films. Now, they have decided to move and team up for the forthcoming movie. It is reported that the filmmaker has offered Rs 15 crore for the Mankatha star to act in the movie.
AM Rathnam has confirmed that he is working with Ajith Kumar. But refused to reveal the details by saying that nothing has been finalised yet. The talks are in early stages and he can only announce once everything falls into place.
Sources say that Vishnuvardhan, who directed Ajith Kumar in Billa, is directing the Tamil film, which will be produced by AM Rathnam. The filmmaker, who was supposed to work with Thala in its sequel, walked out of the movie citing other commitments. Nonetheless, the duo have been in good terms even after they decided to take different routes.
The proposed project is expected to take off in December 2011.
Ajith Kumar and AM Rathnam, who parted ways over some film industry related issues a few years ago, have buried the hatchet. The big names of the Tamil film industry are all set to join hands and the producer has offered Thala a whopping amount for the proposed project.
