Selvaraghavan withdraws Mayakkam Enna from Diwali race

By Ramchander

After Silambarasan, now Selvaraghavan has decided to withdraw his horse from Diwali race! Well, we are talking about his latest movie Mayakkam Enna, which was supposed to release during the festive season, has been postponed, as Vijay's Velayudham and Surya's 7aam Arivu are hitting the screens at the same time.

Selvaraghavan reasons that the movie is delayed due to his bad health. The filmmaker, who is active on Twitter, wrote, “Sorry my friends..my health is not up to the mark..couldn't work like before..will release the film when I am satisfied..hope u understand." However, industry insiders refuse to believe that and claims that the other big movies have made him to quit from the Diwali release.

It is well-known that Velayudham and 7aam Arivu will occupy in most of the theatres. And releasing at the same time would not be a good decision and if the movie fails to garner positive reviews, then it would soon disappear from the theatres without any intimation, add traders. Delaying the film and releasing after a month or two, could be a wise decision, as no other big movies - other than Osthi – are hitting the screens in the near future.
