Shankar's Nanban completes 98.8888% shoot

Shankar's Nanban, a remake of Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots, has completed 98.8888% of shooting and the remaining 1.1112% will be finished by September first week. The filmmaker announced the progress of the movie on his website.

He posted, “we"ve successfully completed 98.8888% of the film, and the rest 1.1112% is one song and a quarter of another song, will be shot in the first week of September." The movie, which went through some hiccups initially, is on the right track to hit the screens for Diwali.

“I feel Nanban has shaped out very well in all aspects. The highlight of the film will be its characters and the excellent performances of the artists in it. Its going to be a treat watching Vijay, Jeeva, Sathyaraj, Srikanth, Sathyan, Illeana altogether. Every scene is edited and dubbed till date," Claims the director.

Vijay had recently thrown a wrap up party to the entire movie unit. The filmmaker says, “Vijay threw a wonderful party for the completion of the film and it was so nice that all the artists and technicians of the film gathered; it was a very relaxing evening full of jolly talks, dance, fun, laughter etc."

Meanwhile, Shankar has started working on the final edit of the film and he is rushing musician Harris Jayaraj to complete the songs for the audio release. The music album of Vijay, Ileana D'Cruz, Jeeva and Srikanth starrer Nanban is expected to launch in September.
