Simbu joins Ajith Kumar's Race?

It is well-known that Ajith Kumar is passionate about bikes and loves speed, which became evident after he took part in the 2010 season of the FIA Formula Two Championship. But we are not talking about the bike race rather about his next project, which is said to be a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Race. It was recently reported that Thala was approached to star in the Tamil version of the film and the latest to join him in the cast is Silambarasan.

Rumours say that Silamabarasan, who is a self-proclaimed fan of Ajith Kumar, has always expressed his wish to work with the Mankatha star. Now that the latter has given the nod to act in Race remake, Simbu has requested Venkat Prabhu, who is said to be the director of the film, to consider him for the second lead role. Though, nothing has been finalised yet, the Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa star's wish has gone well with the makers of the film.

However, there are also speculations that Ajith Kumar might play dual roles instead of casting another actor. Nonetheless, nothing has been revealed and the details about the project have been kept under wraps.

Bollywood movie Race, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Khanna, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu, Anil Kapoor and Sameera Reddy, is about sibling rivalry, about their betrayal and greed, intrigue and revenge. It was directed by Abbas-Mustan.
