is
all
set
to
make
waves
again
in
a
trilingual
film
along
with
the
legend.
According
to
our
sources,
after
Rajinikanth
saw
Sonu
as
Cheddi
Singh
in
Dabangg
and
Pashupati
in
the
Telugu
hit,
Arundhati,
he
was
keen
to
cast
him
is
the
much-coveted
negative
role
for
his
Hindi-Tamil-Telugu
trilingual
film
Rana.
Rana
is
slated
to
be
a
period-action
film
based
on
the
lines
of
the
famous
Hollywood
blockbuster
300.
Directed
by
KS
Ravi
Kumar
of
Muthu
and
Padayappa
fame,
the
film
is
to
be
shot
in
India
and
abroad
with
foreign
technicians
on
board.
Hyped
at
being
the
most
expensive
Indian
film
ever
made,
the
film
is
being
co-produced
by
Eros
International
and
Ocher
Studios,
the
production
house
run
by
Rajinikanth's
daughter
Soundarya.
Deepika
Padukone
is
the
leading
lady,
and
the
film's
music
will
be
contributed
by
AR
Rahman.
Ratnavelu
of
Robot
fame
will
return
as
cinematographer
for
the
trilingual
film.

being

as
the

for
Rajinikanth's
next,

that
