Twist in Mangaatha tale, RMW bags theatrical rights

Yet another twist in Mangaatha tale! The theatrical rights of the film, which was acquired by Sun Pictures, has been sold to Radhika Sarath Kumar's Radaan Media Works. The movie, which has been passing from one hand to other from a few days, seems to have finally come to an end.

A couple of days back, Mangaatha was sold to Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green but within 24 hours but Dhayanidhi Alagiri took back the rights, as the latter was planning to sell the movie to Jaya TV. Later, it was said that Sun Pictures sealed the deal after Udhayanidhi Stalin intervened and resolved the issue.

However, Sun Pictures, which has not released films in the recent past after its CEO Hansraj Saxena was arrested on various charges, was planning to release Mangaatha. But now it is revealed that it has only bagged the satellite rights, leaving the distribution rights to Radhika Sarath Kumar's Radaan Media Works.

Radhika confirmed the news and tweeted, “Radaan Media Works acquires Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of Mangaatha from Sun pictures. God bless, Thala to rock on the 31st." Ajith Kumar, Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja starrer film is reportedly hitting the screens with 300 prints.
