Speaking at the occasion, the Pokkiri star praised the corruption crusader and saluted for his strong will power. He said that the movement has awaken the public to act against the corruption and has raised a new debate in the political circle. He is impressed with the way it has formed without getting political support.
The actor claimed that he is proud to be part of the anti-corruption movement as a Tamilian and he prays for Anna Hazare's health. Vijay, who could not attend the token fast organized by the Tamil film industry, went to the capital city and joined the 74-year-old Gandhian, whose satyagraha is entering eleventh day on Friday.
Meanwhile, Vijay is gearing up for the audio release of his forthcoming Tamil movie Velayudham. The music will be launched on August 28 in Madurai.
Vijay met Anna Hazare and fasted with him yesterday at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi. He joined the ongoing India Against Corruption movement for an efficient Lokapal Bill along with his Delhi-based fans to show their solidarity.
