Vikram opts Katrina Kaif for Karikalan

Grapevine is abuzz with the news that Vikram has signed his next project. Guess, whom he has opted for the female lead in the film? Well, it is none other than Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif.

Vikram, who has completed the shooting of Deiva Thirumagan, has given the nod to act in newcomer Kannan's film. It is said that the director and actor are keen to rope in Katrina Kaif. But they are yet to approach the actress, says a report. The movie is reportedly titled Karikalan. Other details about the film are under wraps.

Of late, many Tamil filmmakers are opting for a top Bollywood actress for their films. For instance, Deepika Padukone has been roped in for Rajinikanth's Rana, Sonakshi Sinha for Vishwaroobham and Prachi Desai for Arun Vijay's next film. Reports also add that Silambarasan has opted Sonam Kapoor for his Tamil version of Dabangg.
