landed
in
trouble,
as
the
producer
of
the
film
Singanamala
Ramesh
has
been
arrested
on
charges
of
threatening
to
kill
a
film
financier.
He
was
taken
into
police
custody
on
Friday
in
Chennai.
Producer
Singanamala
Ramesh,
who
has
been
evading
arrest
for
a
few
months,
was
arrested
at
the
Chennai
Airport.
Telugu
film
financier
named
Jayanth
Reddy
had
lodged
a
complaint
against
the
producer
and
Bhanu,
the
alleged
killer
of
Maddelacheruvu
Suri
(the
character
played
by
Surya
in
Rakta
Charitra),
for
blackmailing
and
threatening
him
in
February
2011.
Singanamala
Ramesh,
who
has
produced
some
high-budget
Telugu
films,
is
making
Rajapattai
to
launch
his
sons
Prathish
and
Santhosh
as
producers.
The
bilingual
movie
is
being
made
on
the
banner
SP
Creations.
Now
that
he
has
been
arrested,
it
is
not
sure
whether
the
film,
which
has
started
shooting,
will
proceed
or
will
come
to
halt.
Rajapattai,
which
is
directed
by
Susindran,
features
Deeksha
Seth
and
Mithra
Kurian
in
the
female
lead
roles.
