Abhishek Bachchan-John Abraham in Vettai remake?

The Hindi remake of Tamil movie Vettai has been in the news for over couple of months. But things did not fall into place for one or the other reason. However, the future of the movie still looks bright, as the makers of the film have come up with different plans. Well, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham have been approached to play the lead roles.

If reports are to be believed, the makers of the film have offered the film to Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, the combination that worked big time in Dostana. They will be stepping into the shoes of Madhavan and Arya. However, Junior B is yet to give his nod for the film. Meanwhile, reports suggest that there are chances of Karan Johar, who is co-producing the film, helming the project.

Earlier, Shahid Kapoor was approached to play one of the male leads in Vettai. After having several rounds of talks, he opted out of the film due to creative differences with the movie bosses. The Telugu version of Vettai titled Bhale Thammudu stars Naga Chaitanya, Sunil, Tamanna Bhatia and Andrea Jeremiah in the leads.
