Ajith's Mankatha wins top honours at International Tamil Film Awards

Ajith Kumar's 50th film Mankatha walked away with five honours at the International Tamil Film Awards. The award ceremony was held at the Singapore Expo on March 3 organised by IMN magazine, the publishing arm of Silver Screen International, Vasantham, A Mediacorp Channel.

Mankatha bagged the awards for the categories like Best Film, Best Director (Venkat Prabhu), Best Cinematography (Shakti Saravanan), Best Female Singer (Suchitra) and Best Supporting Actor (Premgi Amaran).

While Silambarasan won the Best Actor Award for his Vaanam, Shreya Saran bagged the Best Actress Award for Rowthiram. The Life Time Achievement Award was presented to filmmaker Gangai Amaran and Jai received Best Promising Actor Award for Engeyum Eppodhum.

Actress Shriya Saran, Hansika Motwani and Sandhya, Megna Naidu along with other local talents entertained the audience, who were present at the glitz and glamour evening.
