Villains in movies, most of the time go unnoticed but a well-written role and good performance will be remembered by the audience forever. Their dialogue deliveries, mannerisms and stylish avatars attached with glorified violence make their fans to celebrated the roles.

Especially, when a star does a negative role, it attracts the audience most of the time. In the last 20 months, we have seen quite a few actors, whose villainous acts won thumbs up from the audience. Be it Vasanthan of political-thriller Ko played by Ajmal Ameer or Vinayak Mahadevan played by Ajith Kumar in blockbuster Mankatha, the negative roles won the hearts of the audience.

Ajmal Ameer In Ko

Vasanthan Perumal, the crook politician in Ko, played by Ajmal Ameer was seen in the good boy image all through the film before his true face gets revealed in the climax. His acting won a lot of praises from the audience and critics. The political-thriller went on to become a remarkable movie in his career.

Ko was directed by KV Anand. The movie starred Jeeva, Karthika Nair, Piaa Bajpai and Ajmal Ameer in the leads. It was one of the biggest hits of 2011.

Ajith In Mankatha

'This is my f***ng game' was probably heard for the first time on Tamil cinema in Mankatha. Ajith Kumar in the role of Vinayak Mahadevan thrilled the audience with punching dialogues and wonderful looks. In fact, it became the worst-ever character played by the actor. His salt-and-pepper look was widely appreciated.

The movie on betting mafia was directed by Venkat Prabhu. It also featured Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Vaibhav, Mahat, Premji Amaren, Lakshmi Rai and others in the cast.

Sudeep In Naan Ee

Kannada superstar Sudeep became a South star in Naan Ee, the Tamil version of Eega. His wonderful expressions with good comic timings was not only appreciated by Tamil media but all across the nation. In fact, Telugu music director MM Keeravani described him as the next Kamal Hassan and Kollywood critics found a Prakash Raj in him.

Naan Ee was directed by SS Rajamouli. It featured Samantha and Nani in the important roles.

Narain In Mugamoodi

Anguchamy aka Dragon played by Narain in the recently released Mugamoodi has been well-received by the audience. Though the actor has tried to imitate Joker - famous made by Heath Ledger - of The Dark Night, his abilities to do action sequences amazed the audience.

Mugamoodi is directed by Mysskin and produced by UTV Motion Pictures. The movie stars Jeeva, Pooja Hegde and Nassar in the important roles.
