Amy Jackson gets whopping paycheck for Shankar's I

Samantha's exit from Shankar directorial I seems to have become a blessing for Amy Jackson, as the latter has not only bagged her biggest movie of her career but also got a whopping paycheck to star in the upcoming film. The buzz is that she has been paid Rs 75 lakhs to star opposite Vikram.

A leading daily has claimed that Amy Jackson, who met Shankar during her recent visit to Chennai, has sealed the deal. The actress has been signed for Rs 75 lakhs, which is the highest ever paid remuneration for the Madrasapattinam girl. The bilingual factor made the makers of the film to pay such a huge amount for the two-film-old actress.

However, the amount given to Amy Jackson is less as compared to that of what Samantha was offered. The latter had almost sealed the deal for Rs 1.25 crore to be a part of the Vikram starrer project. Meanwhile, reports say that Amy, who got Rs 5 lakhs for her first film, signed Vikram's other project Thaandavam for Rs 45-50 lakhs.

I is a romantic-thriller, which has AR Rahman's music, PC Sriram's cinematography, also features Santhanam, Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi, Ramkumar (Nadigar Thilakam Sivaji Ganesan's eldest son) and others. It is produced by Aascar Ravichandran.
