much-awaited
Tamil
movie
Billa

earned
Rs
26.5
crore
through
Tamil
Nadu
distribution
rights.
Now,
the
latest
to
hear
about
the
movie
is
that
it
has
earned
more
than
Rs
40
crores,
which
by
any
yardstick
is
a
record
for
a
Thala
film,
through
the
theatrical
rights.
An
official
release
from
IN
Entertainment
(INE),
part
of
the
Hinduja
Group,
which
is
presenting
&
producing
Billa
2,
has
announced
that
all
Distribution
Rights
of
the
film,
except
Kerala
and
Hindi
dubbing
Rights,
have
been
sold
at
a
record
breaking
prices
garnering
revenues
exceeding
Rs
40
crores.
All
territories
have
been
sold
at
record
prices
for
any
Ajith
film
till
date.
Overall
revenue
from
the
film
is
higher
by
35%
as
compared
to
the
previous
film
with
certain
territories
outside
of
Tamil
Nadu
going
for
as
much
as
80%
increase.
Thus,
increasing
the
share
of
revenue
from
outside
of
home
state
while
highlighting
the
sales
and
exploitation
strategy.
Billa
2
starrer
Ajith
Kumar,
Parvathy
Omanakuttan
and
Bruna
Abdullah
in
the
leads
will
hit
the
screens
in
June.
The
audio
of
the
upcoming
Tamil
film
is
expected
to
hit
the
stands
in
May.
